Madonna<\/a> and her son David Banda touched down in JFK Airport following her near death experience getting out of the ICU alive after a bacterial infection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singer, 64, cut a low-key figure while flanked by her adopted child, 17, as they landed in New York in the wake of her terrifying health scare, in which she suffered a bacterial infection that sent her to the ICU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After stating she ‘realised how lucky she is to be alive’, the star looked in rude health following her flight and while in the arms of her son, who covered her face with a protective arm draped around her shoulders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She wore a baseball cap adorned with the words ‘Spiritually Hungry’, which is merchandise from a podcast of the same name from her religion Kaballah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, Madonna applauded her children for stepping up for her during her time of need during the health scare, which forced her to cancel her world tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Me Against The Music singer, who is also mother to Lourdes, 26, Rocco, 22, Mercy, 17, and Stella and Estere, 10, wrote: ‘Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pop music icon – who fell ill in June – shared a trio of photos with her 19million followers, along with a heartfelt caption, as she reflected on the past month since her hospitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One snapshot showed her with her firstborn child, Lourdes who flashed a peace sign while posing with her mother. Another image featured the artist hugging David.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The caption continued: ‘As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving\u2026\u2026\u2026.. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon arriving at JFK Airport from an unknown location, Madonna dressed down in a baggy blue track top and black trousers while pulling a baseball cap – featuring the words Spirtually Hungry – low on her face.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madonna was given an injection of the drug Narcan – commonly used to reverse suspected drug overdoses – to combat acute septic shock before she was rushed on to hospital, reported Radar Online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The insider said the singer ‘has an incredible support system around her and appreciates all the love she’s received’ since she was taken to a hospital June 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She gushed, ‘I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included in the post was a photo of the Like A Virgin hitmaker holding a framed photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She explained:  ‘If you zoom into this Picture I am holding You will see A Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson\u2019s face painted on it. A perfect triangle of Brilliance.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Michigan-born star added: ‘Artist who touched so many lives including my own. I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madonna thanked her longtime manager Guy Oseary for the gift before concluding the caption, ‘And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work!’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

he living legend is just days away from her upcoming August 16 birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was rushed to the ICU and intubated after being found slumped on the floor of her New York City apartment on June 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 10, she appeared on social media to break her silence about the ordeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,’ she shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mother-of-six added in the statement, ‘My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lifelong performer said that her ‘second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
