Two al shabaab terrorists have been killed in operations by the UPDF in Somalia . <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Maj Peter Mugisa, Uganda Contingent Public Information Officer, the al shabaab terrorists were killed in the areas of Beledamin-Lower Shabelle in Somalia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Alshabaab fighters had come to probe attack but fell into ATMIS ambush and as a result two Alshabaab fighters were killed, two submachine guns (SMGs) and six magazines with 130 rounds of ammunition were charged.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The splinter group of Alshabaab militants have been extorting illegal taxes and food items from farmers. The loss of their fighters is a relief to civilians who have grappled with violent criminal acts meted out by Alshabaab terrorists,” Mugisa stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beledamin is an agricultural area 82 kms Southwest of Mogadishu in Lower Shabelle under the control of UPDF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
