Police has revealed that 20 suspects have been arrested in connection to the terror attack by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels at Mpondwe Lhubiriha senior secondary school in the border district of Kasese.

Police spokesman Fred Enanga told a media briefing that among those arrested include the school director and headteacher to help with inquiries ..

\u201cAt least 20 arrests have been made of suspected ADF collaborators. We also have the head teacher and the director of the school as part of our inquiries. They need to give us answers to certain questions,\u201d Enanga said<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enanga further stated that so far postmortem has been carried out on 25bodies at Bwera Hospital and 23 handed over to the immediate families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll the 17 burnt bodies were male and the burns were distributed all over the body; the front, the back and one of the victims had an additional gunshot wound which means they shot at him while inside the dormitory before they burnt it,\u201d he said adding that their teams managed to pick DNA samples from the bodies and also from relatives for comparison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police six injured victims remain hospitalized, four of them at Bwera Hospital, one transferred in critical condition to Kiruddu and another one to Mulago National Referral Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAmongst them, we have Aliganyira Wilfred, whom we transferred to Kiruddu with severe burns for better management. We also have Tumwebaze Godwin (32) who was transferred\u00a0to Mulago. He had head injuries so he was also transferred for better management,\u201d Enanga added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
