KCCA FC ‘s long serving Chairman John Mutenda is dead. He was 74 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born on June 26, 1949, Mutenda was one of KCCA FC long time financiers and leaders . From the 1980s and 1990s, he served as a member of the KCCA FC Executive Committee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He Abraham Byandala’s Vice Chairman in 1993 until 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He returned in the mid-2000s to serve as Vice Chairman to Godfrey Kiseka and was instrumental sources funding for the club when he was the Kampala Division Deputy Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He returned in 2011 and served as to Deputy Executive Chairman .Dr. Baka Musuja was the Chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mutenda was commonly known as \u201cAbiola\u201d (after the Nigerian wealthy Chief known as Abiola). He contributed personal funds to run the club at times of need .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to family sources there will church service at the late Mutenda\u2019s residence in Kololo on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 6 pm and burial will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2 pm in Masulita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
