{"id":8711,"date":"2023-04-12T08:54:53","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T08:54:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugandaupdatenews.com\/?p=8711"},"modified":"2023-04-12T08:55:01","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T08:55:01","slug":"president-museveni-is-in-west-nile-sub-region-visits-model-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prowebinhost.com\/anzu\/president-museveni-is-in-west-nile-sub-region-visits-model-farmers\/","title":{"rendered":"President Museveni is in West Nile Sub-Region, visits model farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> President Yoweri Museveni has camped in the vast  West Nile  sub-region and has already visited model farmers he praised for adhering to the government message of PDM to improve house hold livelihoods , spur economic growth and national development .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After being received in the region by the vice President Jessica Alupo and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja , President Museveni was taken on a guided tour of mzee Aliamoi Swaib&#8217;s model farm that sits of 53 acres of land in Abario cell- Rhino camp town council . The farm has cassava , oranges and goats among other  farming activities .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The purpose of President Yoweri Museveni&#8217;s  visit to the region which will end tomorrow -is to discuss investment, wealth creation, and deliberate strategies to reduce unemployment and poverty among the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Museveni  will also engage with locals in two big town rallies &#8211; the first one in Arua City and the second one in Obongi town. The president will talk to the population about how they can properly utilize the money for the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga to increase their household incomes. Recently, the government sent Shs.20 million to all registered and verified PDM SACCOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rt. Hon. Rt. Hon. Todwong emphasized that the President also NRM National Chairman is coming not only to meet with area leaders but also to engage with the population on issues affecting them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, &#8220;When he comes, be very open because the love that NRM and President Museveni have for you (people of West Nile) is incomparable. The President is coming to ensure that issues affecting your income and derailing your progress are wiped out. Mobilize everybody to attend and interface with your president.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rt. Hon. Todwong will also present a topic on the &#8220;highlights of the NRM performance and manifesto implementation in the West Nile Sub-region.&#8221; The current manifesto promises to focus on the socio-economic empowerment of all Ugandans through commercial agriculture, industrialization, ICT, and the service sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The State Minister of Finance (Privatization and Investment), Hon.
