The\u00a0 Kabaka of Buganda will celebrate his 68th<\/sup> birthday with hundreds of thousands of his subjects and well-wishers during the Kabaka birthday run set for April 16th<\/sup> ,2023.\u00a0 The Kabaka was born on April 13, 1955.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kabaka birthday run 2023 is intended to raise awareness and strengthen efforts to fight the HIV\/Aids epidemic in Buganda and Uganda under the theme : \u201c The fight to end Hiv\/Aids by 2030.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The King of Buganda Kingdom Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will officially flag off the run\u00a0at his palace in Bulange Mengo.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buganda Land Board ( BLB) led by \u00a0Chief Executive Officer, Simon Kabogoza have already bought kits to participate in the run .The kits were handed over to the Buganda Land Board team by Buganda\u2019s Youth, Sports and Recreation Minister, Henry Moses Ssekabembe Kiberu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Ssekabembe thanked Buganda Land Board for always participating in the popular birthday run, which will make ten years this year. The Chief Executive Officer of Buganda Land Board, \u00a0Simon Kabogoza assured the minister of BLB\u2019s full participation in the upcoming run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also asked all the people of Buganda to buy the kits and participate in the run to celebrate Kabaka\u2019s life and highlight the fight against AIDS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kabaka Mutebi is the Good Will Ambassador for the international UNAIDs, a body that is fast tracking the speedy treatment and prevention of the HIV\/AIDS spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proceeds from the birthday run will be deployed to provide better health services\u00a0 across the Kingdom of Buganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
