All contacts to confirmed cases of Ebola will not be allowed to travel within and outside the country government through the Ministry of Health has announced. The travel restriction for such contacts will last 21 days .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In line with international health regulations (IHR 2005) that require Uganda as a state party to WHO to control the spread of infectious diseases to other nations, with minimal interruption to international trade and travel , the Ministry of Health working with officials from the respective ports of entry including Entebbe International Airport does not permit contacts to Ebola confirmed cases to travel locally or internationally until completion of the follow-up 21 days ,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement signed by Charles Olaro on behalf of the director General of Health Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr.Olaro said that the ministry of health will regularly share with immigration authorities the list of all the contact persons to confirmed cases of Ebola to ensure that non of the individuals listed are allowed to travel outside the country .There will also be mandatory temperature screening off all outbound travelers at all port entry points including Entebbe International Airport .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
