After successfully participating in the Dubai Airshow at the weekend , Uganda Airlines management has signed an agreement with Airbus Flight Hour Services Company,  which is a subsidiary of Airbus, for A330 aircraft spares support services.  The Uganda Airlines acting CEO Ms. Jennifer Bamuturaki signed on behalf of the national carrier .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the agreement , Airbus Flight Hour Services compny will position a consignment of critical spares in Entebbe to support day to day spares requirements for Uganda Airlines operations and also give unlimited access to their pool  of many thousands of spares on exchange basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this arrangement it means that Uganda Airlines will have constant access to the required spares supply. The alternative would have been for the national carrier to buy own spares which would\u00a0 require an astronomical capital investment running into hundreds of millions of dollars, officials at the airline explained . ” For provision of this service Uganda Airlines will pay Airbus per aircraft flight hour at a\u00a0 mutually agreed rate,” sources added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the same event, Mikail Houari, Airbus\u00a0President for Africa and Middle East, said \u00a0that he was extremely happy about the partnership between the two companies .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
