Mr Fred Bamwesigye Kanyangoga has been appointed as the new Director General of Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), according to an instrument signed by Minister of Works and Transport , Gen. Katumba Wamala. Bamwesigye has been serving as the Acting Director General after Dr David Mpango Kakuba retired from the position in June 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority is charged with the mandate of superintending over the country\u2019s aviation industry, manages Entebbe International Airport and other civilian airports and aerodromes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UCAA spokesman , Mr. Vianney Lugya confirmed Bamwesigye’s appointed and welcomed the new development “to ensure continuity.” Bamwesigye 54, is a born of Ruhaama in Ntungamo district . He will earn a monthly salary of Ug.Shs.30.2m and oversee the on going expansion of Entebbe International airport among other multi-billion projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
