According to a statement by the greater Masaka Regional police spokesman, Muhammad Nsubuga, \u00a0a Tanzanian trailer registration number TH77 BVW \/ T433 BDY Mercedes Benz collided with a Toyota Hiace registration number UBE 995C \u00a0which was heading to Kampala from Mateete in Sembabule district.
Nsubuga said the trailer driver was overtaking on the wrong side of the road and rammed into the on-coming mini-bus. \u201c The dead \u00a0included five females, two male juveniles and seven male adults,\u201d he added.
\u201cEfforts to identify the 13 victims is underway since none had any identification documents on them. The bodies of the victims have been conveyed to Masaka regional referral hospital for post mortem examination,\u201d Nsubuga said.
