Minister of Information, Ms. Judith Nabakooba has called upon members of PRAU to build a new body of knowledge that will guide the practice of Public Relations within the new normal. She was speaking at the swearing in of new leadership of PRAU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that as government they expect that Public Relations practitioners to be active participants in the fight against fake news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPR practitioners should not just look on as the mainstream media continues to be a source of miss information and chaos.\u201dNabakooba noted that the growth of the new media especially online has come with its challenges where everyone is publishing content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPR practitioners are expected to step in and complement their relatives in the media by emphasizing and promoting the truth, dispelling and correcting fake news ,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
