Long Serving New Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga has finally thrown in the towel telling employees that he will quit in 90 days .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The business where government owns majority shares -Vision Group incorporated as the New Vision Printing & Publishing Company Limited is involved in the business of newspapers (The New Vision and Bukedde) magazines, internet publishing, televisions, radios, commercial printing, advertising and distribution services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The maverick Kabushenga said in a communication to staff that he had asked for \u2018early retirement\u2019 and would be stepping down in the next 90 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is to let you know that for personal reasons, I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted,\u201d Robert Kabushenga, Vision Groups Chief Executive Officer said in an email to staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Board has asked me to manage the transition for the next 90 days which I have agreed to do,\u201d he said. The outgoing CEO said that was grateful for the collective success and impact the vision group has had in society. \u201cThis was possible because we worked together as a team. No single person could have done it on their own, certainly not me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kabushenga has served at the New Vision for 14 years after founding Editor in Chief and Managing Director , Mr. William Pike was sacked in mid 2000s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
