The NRM Electoral Commission , has released guidelines for the September 4th hotly contested party primaries to be held across the country and directed that no names will be entered or deleted on the party’s voters register .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a stated issued by the NRM party EC and signed by Deputy Chairperson , John Arimpa Kigyagi, party supporters were informed that members whose names get added during the display of the voters register will not be allowed to vote in the NRM primaries. similarly , members whose names are deleted during the display exercise will be allowed to vote .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” For villages where there is no register , fresh registration is permitted with approval of the nrm village executive committees,” the statement says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the strict NRM primaries ‘ polling guidelines released , all party members above the age of 18 who appear on the party voters register shall be allowed to vote. The mode of election shall be by lining up to save costs. women district representative to parliament shall be voted for first followed by the constituency MP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
there shall be a polling station at every village , branch and polling shall commence at 11am and end at 4pm. The presiding officer shall introduce the candidates portraits to the voters. Health SOPs to avoid Covid-19 infections shall be observed strictly and no voting by proxy shall be allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bribery, procuring ineligible persons to vote,obstruction of voters and election officials , soliciting for votes on polling day and unauthorized or multiple voting for any one position are some of the offences that are not allowed during the voting exercise .
