{"id":16831,"date":"2026-04-03T15:20:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T15:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugandaupdatenews.com\/?p=16831"},"modified":"2026-04-03T15:20:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T15:20:24","slug":"united-nigeria-appoints-ex-uganda-airlines-marketing-chief-olawuyi-to-lead-expansion-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prowebinhost.com\/anzu\/united-nigeria-appoints-ex-uganda-airlines-marketing-chief-olawuyi-to-lead-expansion-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"United Nigeria appoints ex-Uganda Airlines marketing chief,  Olawuyi to lead expansion strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Chinelo Obogo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United Nigeria Airlines has appointed Adedayo Olawuyi as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) &nbsp;to strengthen its market position and expand its route network within and outside Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olawuyi brings more than 18 years of aviation industry experience to the role, with a career spanning commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development across several African carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines, where he played a key role in shaping the national carrier\u2019s commercial direction. Before that, he held the position of Head of Commercial at Africa World Airlines (AWA) in Ghana, and served as Head of Business Intelligence &amp; Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited. Earlier in his career, he cut his teeth at Air Nigeria, formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways, where he worked across commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan.
