The\u00a0Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs\u00a0will be relocated to their new premises the JLOS house located on Plot 98\u2013102, Katalima Road, Naguru, Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first phase of the relocation is set to begin today March 16, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The move is expected to improve service delivery and provide a more modern working environment for both ministry staff and members of the public seeking legal and government services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the official notice released recently , the ministry will move from its current offices at Baumann House to the newly established JLOS Towers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The relocation will take effect on 16 March 2026, after which all ministry services will be offered from the new location in Naguru, a growing administrative and institutional hub within the capital Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The one-stop-center \u2013at JLOS Towers is part of ongoing government efforts to strengthen coordination among institutions within the justice sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n JLOS Towers serves as a central facility for several Justice, Law, and Order Sector (JLOS) institutions, making it easier for agencies to collaborate and streamline service delivery to citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Officials say the new offices will offer improved facilities, better accessibility, and a more efficient environment for handling legal and constitutional matters. The relocation is also expected to reduce congestion associated with offices located within the central business district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the public who normally seek services from the Ministry of Justice should take note that starting 16 March 2026, all services will be available at JLOS Towers in Naguru. These services include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Legal advisory services to government ministries and agencies<\/p>\n\n\n\n Drafting of legislation and legal documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n Constitutional and legal policy guidance<\/p>\n\n\n\n Support for government litigation and legal representation<\/p>\n\n\n\n Oversight of legal reforms and justice sector coordination<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ministry has since advised all stakeholders, partners, and members of the public to update their records and direct any future visits or correspondence to the new address at JLOS Towers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnyone planning to visit the ministry after the relocation date should proceed directly to the Naguru offices to avoid inconvenience,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs has also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition during the relocation process. The ministry also emphasized that measures are being put in place to minimize disruptions and maintain continuity of services throughout the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other 10 JLOS institutions set to relocate to the JLOS house are :<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) – One Stop Centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. JLOS\/GSP Secretariat (Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Uganda Law Reform Commission (ULRC) offices<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7. Office of the Director of of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) headquarters<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8. Judicial Service Commission offices<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9. NGO Bureau (Ministry of Internal Affairs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n 10.
