The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed 18 new judicial officer to take services nearer to the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement , JSC said five Deputy Registrars, six Chief Magistrates, and seven Magistrates Grade One had been appointed in compliance with Article 148 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new appointees will increase the human resource capacity, reduce case backlog , and improve judicial service delivery across the country .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo the deployment of new judicial officers will \u201csignificantly enhance access to justice for the people of Uganda,\u201d noting that a strong judicial workforce is essential to the Judiciary\u2019s mission of delivering timely and people-centred justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting Chief Registrar HW Lamunu Pamella Ocaya said the new officers will expand court coverage and take judicial services closer to communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said the Judiciary will deploy the appointees strategically to ensure maximum and immediate impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
