The UCAA Director General, Mr. Fred K. Bamwesigye has featured as a panelist at the CANSO Africa Conference running from August 26-29, 2025, at the Argyle Hotel in Nairobi. He ably contributed to the day one panel discussion on “the role of leadership in shaping and managing safety culture.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the discussions, the DG elaborated on the need for a strong safety culture within an organisation and what leadership behaviours are most critical to fostering it. He also discussed the biggest challenges in aligning safety culture across diverse teams and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aviation event is attended by about 100 delegates from various Air Navigation Service Providers across Aftica, as well as experts from Europe, Canada and USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
