Controversial Pretty Nicole<\/strong>, a teenager known for her dramatic rise to online fame is now an entertainment anchor on local \u00a0Baba TV<\/strong>. Nicole, who is reported to have dropped out of school in\u00a0Primary Five<\/strong>, shocked many viewers when she appeared as an anchor on a celebrity gossip show on the jinja based TV station with studios in Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her appointment has ignited fierce debate about formal education requirements to undertake professional journalism wok. While some see her example as a skilled TV personality without the requisite formal education , others have argued that her appointment undermines the well laid out professional training that is required to practice journalism- with many graduates struggling to find formal employment .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pretty Nicole hit the headlines and caused her friend to serve a jail term when they fought over a lover while she was still a minor .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At just 14 years old in 2022, she went viral for all the wrong reasons after being filmed beaten by her best friend for allegedly trying to seduce her boyfriend. Around the same time, her private videos also leaked online, sparking outrage over child protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the scandals, she kept finding her way back into the spotlight, appearing in several music videos and gaining a cult-like following on TikTok and Instagram. For many young Ugandans, she has become a symbol of the new age of social media fame, where controversy can translate into opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
