Initially set for Sept. 16\u201317, 2025, nominations will now be held on Oct. 15\u201316, 2025 at the offices of the respective District\/City Returning Officers. Forms for District Chairperson candidates will be available for download on the Commission\u2019s website at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ec.or.ug\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ec.or.ug<\/a>&nbsp;beginning the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parliamentary Nominations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nomination period for Parliamentary candidates, including those representing Special Interest Groups, has also been moved. Initially set for Sept. 16\u201317, 2025, nominations will now be held on Oct. 15\u201316, 2025 at the offices of the respective District\/City Returning Officers. Relevant forms and guidelines will be downloadable from the Commission\u2019s website beginning Aug. 11, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presidential Elections<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission has set Aug. 11\u2013Sept. 24, 2025 as the official period for the collection of nomination forms and guidelines for the 2026 Presidential Elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this time, presidential aspirants may obtain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nomination forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporter forms (requiring signatures from at least 100 registered voters in at least two-thirds of Uganda\u2019s districts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidelines for nomination and campaign-related activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These documents must be collected in person from the Commission\u2019s head office, located at Plot 1-3 &amp; 5, 7th Street, Industrial Area, Kampala. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Representatives collecting forms on behalf of political parties must present written authorization from the party\u2019s Secretary General or another designated official.
