noopener\">economic transformation.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heated pipeline is embedded with electrical filaments and fiber-optic cables along its entire length to ensure the safe, efficient flow of crude oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heating system prevents the waxy Ugandan crude from solidifying, while the fiber-optic network supports real-time satellite monitoring and leak detection to mitigate environmental risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the export route, Hoima (Uganda) will host a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/africa.businessinsider.com\/local\/markets\/us-considers-investment-in-africas-most-ambitious-gas-pipeline-project\/7t4z1lj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">domestic refinery,<\/a>&nbsp;allowing part of the crude output to be refined for local use while the remainder will be exported via Tanga, integrating the project into global energy href=\"https:\/\/africa.businessinsider.com\/local\/markets\/after-us-interest-uae-to-help-fund-africas-largest-gas-pipeline\/76091n7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">world\u2019s longest heated<\/a>&nbsp;crude oil pipeline, has already generated approximately TSh50 billion (about $19.5 million) in revenue for Tanzania through development levies, taxes, and various construction-related charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanzania\u2019s EACOP Project Coordinator, Mr. Asiadi Mrutu, revealed during a recent televised appearance on TBC1 that the project has so far employed 1,200 Tanzanians, including 346 workers from surrounding communities like Chongoleani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This progress is seen as a significant boost to local employment and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/africa.businessinsider.com\/local\/markets\/nnpcl-onhym-announce-progress-on-the-6800km-nigeria-morocco-gas-pipeline-project\/c6q3dt7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infrastructure growth.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanzania&#8217;s Energy Ministry spokesperson Ms. Neema Mbuja expressed satisfaction with the project\u2019s implementation, noting that it is
