The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, is abroad for further medical evaluation and consultations with his foreign-based doctors, according to a statement issued by the Katikkiro (Prime Minister) of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katikkiro Mayiga said that the latest trip is part of the Kabaka\u2019s ongoing medical care, complementing the treatment and examinations he has been receiving locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Kabaka has travelled in order to meet his medical team abroad for further reviews regarding the treatment he has been receiving here,\u201d Mayiga said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Katikkiro ,however hastened to add that the Kabaka is in stable condition, emphasizing that Mutebi personally continues to update his subjects on his health whenever necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe has gone while stable, as he himself has always informed the Kingdom on various occasions,\u201d Mayiga stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Katikkiro and other kingdom senior officials escorted the Kabaka to Entebbe International Airport as he embarked on the medical trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kabaka\u2019s health has been a subject of public concern since 2021 when he appeared visibly unwell during his 66th birthday celebrations at Mengo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kabaka has occasionally made public appearances, with Kingdom officials stressing that his medical team is closely monitoring and managing his condition both within Uganda and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katikkiro Mayiga has called upon the people of Buganda to continue praying for the Kabaka\u2019s full recovery, noting that the Kingdom places the utmost importance on the well-being of its monarch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe life and health of the Kabaka remain a top priority for the Kingdom,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kingdom has not disclosed the exact destination of the Kabaka\u2019s current medical visit nor the specific nature of his treatment, maintaining the practice of preserving the monarch\u2019s medical privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
