 Journey to the Boardroom (JTB)  held its annual Grand Finale  at the Sheraton Kampala where the winners were recognized and honoured with amazing awards .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the black-tie event  individual accomplishments of  the 2025 cohort  were  honored and key developments in the organization’s mission to foster inclusive and diverse leadership were unveiled .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Awards : <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassadors award  went to Ms. Silvester Bwetabure , Founders Award, Ms. Tina Wamala and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Founders Award 1st runner up  was Mr. Samuel Jjuuko. Others are Founders Award 2 runner up Mr.Joseph Kigozi, Boardroom award winners – Fernandez Circle, Boardroom award 1st runner up – Chiefs Vanguard MultiChoice Award – Aliker .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multichoice one of the major partners of the event offered Ug.Shs.5 million award and Ug.Shs .3 million award to the first and second runner is up of the 2025 JTB awards winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past two years, JTB has been instrumental in preparing seasoned professionals for boardroom excellence. This year’s cohort comprised 35 participants, including 21 women, reflecting significant progress toward gender equality in corporate leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured distinguished guests who  included Ms. Lisa Chesney, British High Commissioner to Uganda, as Guest of Honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms.Sylvia Mulinge, CEO of MTN Uganda delivered the keynote address- sharing insights on leadership and corporate transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Lisa Chesney( MBE), emphasized the transformative power of diversity in her and stated thus : \u201cBoardrooms should be accessible to all professions. Companies with diverse boards are 43% more likely to achieve higher profits. Let your journey be a movement\u2014toward just, inclusive, and visionary leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Sylvia Mulinge, said, empowering professionals with boardroom readiness is key to driving sustainable business growth. JTB\u2019s work is transformative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Janet Bugembe, JTB Founder, reflected on the cohort\u2019s growth: \u201cDuring our retreat, I watched these leaders lean into discomfort, challenge norms, and emerge ready to govern with integrity. Corporate governance isn\u2019t about ticking boxes\u2014it\u2019s about stewardship. Tonight, we raise a generation equipped to shape Africa\u2019s future boardrooms,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bugembe expressed her gratitude to the stakeholders and highlighted the program’s impact on shaping future leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JTB will open applications for its third cohort from April 28 to June 6, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Magazine Launch: The second edition of the JTB magazine will be unveiled, featuring success stories and insights from the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
