{"id":1433,"date":"2020-07-06T15:01:34","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T15:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugandaupdatenews.com\/?p=1433"},"modified":"2020-07-06T15:01:47","modified_gmt":"2020-07-06T15:01:47","slug":"makerere-university-officials-say-kiira-motors-project-audit-report-is-fake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prowebinhost.com\/anzu\/makerere-university-officials-say-kiira-motors-project-audit-report-is-fake\/","title":{"rendered":"MAKERERE UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS SAY KIIRA MOTORS PROJECT AUDIT REPORT IS FAKE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>BY OUR INVESTIGATIVE REPORTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makerere University officials have dismissed what they called \u201canother set of falsehoods\u201d published in a local tabloid and an online publication owned by a television company while quoting a fake audit report claiming that officials at Kiira Motors while still a project under the Center for Research in Transportation Technologies (CRTT) in 2016,failed to account for money in petty cash and other items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University officials who talked to <strong><em>Ugandaupdate news<\/em><\/strong> said that the purported report by the University \u2018s Directorate of Internal Audit for the financial year 2017\/2018, was fake since it was not sanctioned by the University Management including the University Council as required by the Institution\u2019s accounting procedures .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAsk the author\u2019s of that fake news to show you the instruments calling for that audit and the management report which should go hand in hand with such audit reports.
