Nalukoola was accompanied his young daughter, father and wife among others . He wasted no time after taking the oath and asked the Speaker that once parliamentary resumes its plenary sittings , he should be accorded more speaking time in an affirmative action because his constituents have lacked representation for a long time .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He argued that key issues affecting the constituency had not been raised on the parliamentary floor, and he was eager to bring them to national attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nalukoola thanked the Speaker for expediting his swearing-in, even though parliamentary was in recess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaker Among, congratulated Nalukoola and the NUP party on their victory and asked the Clerk to Parliament Adolf Mwesige to procure a brand new SUV for the new MP..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nalukoola also thanked journalists for their bold coverage for the chaotic and largely violent by-e;ections..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He strongly condemned the violence that was meted out against journalists and the voters during the electoral process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
