{"id":13697,"date":"2025-01-27T07:57:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-27T07:57:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugandaupdatenews.com\/?p=13697"},"modified":"2025-01-27T07:57:52","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T07:57:52","slug":"turkish-airlines-aborts-flight-due-to-safety-concerns-returns-to-entebbe-airport-ucaa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prowebinhost.com\/anzu\/turkish-airlines-aborts-flight-due-to-safety-concerns-returns-to-entebbe-airport-ucaa\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkish Airlines Aborts Flight Due To Safety Concerns Returns To Entebbe Airport-UCAA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Turkish Airlines aircraft aborted flight number TK612, en route from Uganda  to Istanbul Turkey due to safety concerns and was forced  to  return to Entebbe  International Airport on Sunday according to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority UCAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An air transport regulator said here on Sunday that the flight did not proceed to its final destination as a &#8220;precaution&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), a state-run air transport regulator, posted on X that the Airbus A333 aircraft successfully returned and landed at Entebbe International Airport at 10.50am on Sunday after safely circling Ugandan airspace for more than three hours to burn off excess fuel. This was to meet the required safe landing weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UCAA said all 269  passengers  on board were safe. The regulator did not mention what the safety issue was but said, &#8220;The precautionary measures taken are standard safety procedures in the aviation industry&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trusted  sources
