The el;ecetroal Commission (EC) has released the roadmap to the 2026 general elections starting with the updating of the national vters’ register starting this month, and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, athe National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has met the leadership of the party Secretariat led by Secretary General, Rt Hon. Richard Todwong and urged voters to get registered .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting took place at the President\u2019s Country home in Rwakitura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the key issues discussed included the digitization of the party register and the upcoming electoral map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President urged all NRM leaders to mobilise their communities to check and verify their registration status at the parish level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour active participation is vital to ensuring the integrity of our electoral process. Together, let us uphold the values of democracy and civic engagement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rt. Hon. Todwong noted that the general update of the National Voters register exercise is running from January 20th to February 10th, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
