At a low key function held at the Ministry of Works And Transport today morning ,Allen Kagina ,the former Executive Director , (ED),Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) performed her last executive duty by officially handing over the organization ‘s mandate including its assets and liabilities .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday, Kagina announced that she was dropping the UNRA executive director’s handle on X that she has been running over the last nine years since she was retiring from the job ..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement issued by General Edward Katumba Wamala, the Minister of Works and Transport, said on December 23 that all former staff should hand over their offices as their terminal benefits are being processed .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour appointment as staff of UNRA ceased on the date of the gazette of the Act,\u201d Gen Katumba stated .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Katumba told all UNRA staff to hand over office and government property by December 30, 2024, as stipulated in the Uganda National Roads Authority (Repeal) Act, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Ministry of Works and Transport is verifying and will accordingly process payment of your terminal benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions of your service,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
