Former and long serving Makerere University Sports Tutor and educationist Prof. Era Mugisa is dead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof Mugisa died of advanced age at his home in Hoima-Kakindo 13 Km from Hoima on the Hoima-Masindi Highway , in Bulindi town council . <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof Mugisa also served as FUFA President in the late 70’s, Uganda Cranes Coach (1962-64) and was a Founder member of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased professor was also President Uganda Hockey Federation, General Secretary. Uganda Athletics Federation, founder member of Eastern Africa University Games (1974-78), and served as Vice President of All-Africa University Sports, In 2004, he was inducted in the SUNY Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame. The late was Head of Ndejje University Sports Science Department before Retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
