The Heads of Mission of the European Union led by Ambassador Jan Sadek who is the Head of the EU Delegation to Uganda have toured the Kiira Vehicle Plant in Jinja aboard the 2024 model Kayoola fully electric Coach in a marked endorsement of the country\u2019s E- mobility solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambassadors hired the Kayoola electric coach for three days during their tour of eastern Uganda showing growing confidence in the Kiira Motors world class products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government Ministries and Agencies plus the private sector should be encouraged by this good example set by the EU ambassadors to hire and buy the Kayoola Electric and diesel buses to meet their transport needs . The Kayoola buses have been validated and proved to be of very high quality -designed and produced for the African terrain.

At the Kiira vehicle plant , the EU ambassadors were received by the Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC) management team led by the  CEO Mr.  Paul Isaac Musasizi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While at the plant , the biggest in East and Central Africa, the EU delegation appreciated the company\u2019s efforts to increase production of \u00a0environmentally friendly mass transportation solutions including the Kayoola electric buses \u00a0which is key to reducing \u00a0the carbon footprint not only in Uganda but on the African continent .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ambassadors  further appreciated  the KMC management for putting in place a  skilling program for  e-bus operators and building a world-class automobile engineering and parts manufacturing facility \u2013 all while creating sustainable employment opportunities for the people of Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kiira Vehicle Plant is the biggest, most capable and most competent bus manufacturing plant on the African Continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis plant unlocks unprecedented opportunity for import substitution, job creation, technology transfer, and ultimately, contributing toward the realization of Uganda\u2019s ambition of the 10 fold growth from an economy of USD 50bn to USD 500bn by2040,\u2019\u201d Mr. Musasizi said in a presentation .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Kayoola buses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 Kayoola EVS comes in the following variations: 18-meter EV with capacity of 120 passengers; 12-meter EVS with capacity of 90 passengers; 10-meter EVS with capacity of 70 passengers, 8-meter EVS with capacity of 56 passengers; and 6-meter with capacity of 20 passengers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 8-Meter Kayoola EVS is a fully electric city bus with a nominal range of 200 kilometres on a full charger and capacity of 56 passengers. It forms the latest offering from Kiira Motors\u2019 rich portfolio of state-of-the-art Ugandan-made buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bus is built to offer the utmost comfort and convenience with features like infotainment systems, CCTV cameras, E-Ticketing & Cashless Payment Systems, Wi-Fi, inclusive design for the elderly and persons with disabilities, USB charging, ample carrying capacity, and the highest quality and safety standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
