Another over 800 Tilenga Project Affected Persons (PAPs) under\u00a0the Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) 2-5 in Buliisa, Hoima and Kikuube Districts have received income generating starter packs at an event held at Kibambura Playground in Buliisa\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this follows the conclusion of the land acquisition and resettlement activities in the area. To date,\u00a05,553 (99.5%) PAPs have been fully compensated, including 235 physically resettled PAPs in compliance with national laws and international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TotalEnergies EP Uganda has provided transitional support and livelihood restoration\u00a0initiatives to PAPs, designed to restore and enhance their livelihoods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through these initiatives,\u00a0PAPs have received agricultural inputs and support services for 3 years to improve their\u00a0production and incomes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The function was graced by Minister of State in charge of Mineral Development, Phiona Nyamutoro who was accompanied by her counterpart the Minister in charge of Economic Monitoring , Beatrice Akori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
