President Yoweri Museveni has passed out 203 professional graduate cadets at Uganda’s Military Academy in Kabamba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cadets included those who completed a degree from Makerere University alongside their training, those who finished the officer course, and professionals like engineers and doctors who underwent six months of military training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the past, the big problem was having an army of illiterate people, yet fighting requires knowledge. Congratulations to the graduates, and I thank the UPDF for its continued professional development.\u00a0I welcome the cadets and instructors from South Sudan, Rwanda, and other brotherly East African countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I urged the new officers to avoid corruption. It is unnecessary and pollutes their records. With the current salary improvements, there is no reason to engage in corrupt practices. I commend the Ministry of Defence and the commanders, led by the CDF, for their efforts in turning military training institutions into centres of excellence,” a jovial President Museveni stated .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
