The Inspector General of Police \u2013IGP Abbas Byakagaba has appointed six acting directors after the expiry of contracts of six Assistants Inspector General of Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the AIGPs whose contracts have expired include Grace Akullo who has been director Interpol, Fadhir Kaali director Fire and Rescue Services, Charles Birungi serving as director Welfare and Production, Richard Edyegu who was serving as director Logistics and Engineering, John Ndungutse the Police Attach\u00e9 in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the new acting and permanent appointments, AIGP Joseph Mugisa who formerly served as director Fire and Rescue Services has been picked up from retirement by IGP Byakagaba and deployed him under his office. Senior Commissioner of Police \u2013SCP James Apora has been appointed to replace AIGP Edyegu as acting director Logistics and Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SCP Joseph Obwana who has been one of the deputies to AIGP Akullo has been elevated to replace his boss in acting capacity. Former Kampala Metropolitan Policing Area (KMP) Commander SCP Stephen Tanui has been appointed in acting director Fire and Rescue replacing his boss AIGP Kaali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SCP Elias Kassirabo from Human Resource Administration is appointed Attach\u00e9 Uganda High Commission in Nairobi replacing AIGP Ndungutse. SCP Yusuf SSewanyana formerly director ICT has been appointed Deputy Director Interpol Division a position he will hold alongside former Police Spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SCP Frankline Kugonza from the Directorate of Logistics & Engineering to Directorate of Fire Prevention & Rescue as Deputy Director, Commissioner of Police -CP Sarah Kibwika from the Directorate of Human Resource Administration & Management is appointed Acting Deputy Director Human Resource Administration & Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CP Proscovia Achola of Logistics & Engineering is appointed acting Deputy Director Force Fleet Management, CP Irene Ameri Kimara of Logistics & Engineering is appointed acting Deputy Director Logistics & Engineering, CP Simon Peter Okosh from Peace Support Operation to Directorate of Operations as acting Deputy Director Operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CP Philip Acaye form course to Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety as Ag. Deputy Director, CP Hillary Kulayige from course to the Directorate of Chief Political Commissariat as Deputy Director, CP Moses Muluya is appointed Deputy Director Welfare Production & Sports and CP Agaptus Ecotu from Directorate of Human Resource Administration & Management to Field Force Unit as Deputy Commander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CP Benedict Byamugisha from course to Research and planning & Development as CP Research & Development, CP Hassan Kihanda from course to Directorate of Fire Prevention & Rescue as CP Fire Disaster, Training &Administrative support Services, CP Rosemary Nanyonga from course to Agricultural Police as Deputy Commandant Livestock Sector and CP Michael Walwanga from course to Interpol & International Relations as CP International Relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
