President Yoweri Museveni has fired embattled Trade Ministry PS Geraldine Ssali and replaced her with Alex Kakooza as the new Permanent Secretary .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geraldine Ssali, was remanded at Luzira prisons by the Anti-Corruption Court for allegedly causing financial loss and colluding with Members of Parliament to embezzle billions of money meant for compensating cooperative societies across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Kakooza the new boss at the Trade Ministry<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kakooza has previously served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education until July 2021 and later as Principal Private Secretary to the Vice-President in the President\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geraldine Ssali was committed to the High Court for trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
