The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Manager of Public Affairs Vianney Mpungu Luggya, has clarified that the flooding at the new expanded Entebbe International Airport Terminal car parking was caused by the on going construction works .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement , Luggya, said that the airport experienced a heavy downpour which overwhelmed their drainage\u00a0system, causing\u00a0a backflow in some\u00a0of the\u00a0car parking lots lasting for about 30-40 minutes before clearing completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe would like to assure every one of our determined efforts to implement corrective measures aimed at ensuring a better passenger experience,\u201d the statement reads in part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luggya added that there are multiple projects underway, including the construction of a\u00a0new\u00a0terminal building and the interconnection of the drainage\u00a0system to accommodate these new developments which\u00a0are scheduled to be completed in a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CAA appealed to the public to be patient and bear with them during the period the works are underway, adding that, all these projects are being carried out to provide a seamless experience for airport users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
