America\u2019s Emmy Award-winning producer, Mr. Peter Greenberg, is in Uganda to film a documentary that will promote the country\u2019s vibrant tourism industry to a global audience of over 100M people .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenberg and his filming crew have since met President Yoweri Museveni and conducted an interview at State Lodge- Nakasero .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Greenberg is also a travel editor for CBS News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The documentary \u201cHidden Uganda\u201d is estimated to reach about 110 million viewers internationally when it airs later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Museveni expressed gratitude towards Mr. Greenberg for his visit and emphasised Uganda\u2019s beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting Uganda\u2019s exceptional geographical features, the President underscored the country\u2019s position on the equator coupled with diverse altitudes, creating a rich tapestry of flora and fauna found nowhere else on earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also highlighted Uganda\u2019s unique conservation, pointing out the many national parks and game reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA number of countries are on the Equator, but the uniqueness of Uganda is that while we are at the equator, we also have a high altitude, the lowest part of Uganda in the Rift valley is about 600 metres above sea level and the highest part is 5000 metres above sea level, that is how you end up with permanent snow on the Equator. This combination of latitude and altitude gives us flora and fauna which is really unique,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stressed the importance of indigenous agriculture in driving economic growth and sustainability. President Museveni highlighted the misconceptions surrounding Africa\u2019s potential and Uganda\u2019s capacity for growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emphasizing Uganda\u2019s stability over the past three decades, President Museveni expressed pride in the nation\u2019s abundant resources and capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have almost everything here,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenberg expressed gratitude for the opportunity to film a documentary about Uganda, praising the country\u2019s untapped potential for cinematic exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He commended the efforts of Ms. Diana Museveni Kyaremera in ensuring that their production trip has been a success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Greenberg also noted that the collaborative endeavour between his film and the country promises to showcase Uganda\u2019s natural wonders and cultural richness to a global audience, further cementing its status as a premier tourist destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In attendance was Ms. Diana Museveni Kyaremera and Ms. Deborah Pratt, a renowned American director and writer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
