The leader of Ukraine\u2019s Catholic church has insisted that the Vatican document endorsed by the Pope allowing same-sex couple blessings didn\u2019t apply to his church because it wasn\u2019t reference specifically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Thus this Declaration applies solely to the Latin Church and has no legal force for the faithful of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church,” Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A blessing, he added, “can in no way contradict the teaching of the Catholic Church about the family as a faithful, indissoluble, and fertile union of love between a man and a woman.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
