11 ADF terrorists killed, One captured with injuries in the Night targeted -intelligence led operation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A combined force of Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) special forces that included SFC and Marine forces have carried out a targeted night operation and killed 11 ADF rebels that attacked tourists in Kasese district .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deo Akiiki, the Deputy Army Spokesperson, said \u00a0the group was attacked on Tuesday night, 31st<\/sup>\u00a0October, 2023 near Kayanja Landing Site off Lake Edward in Kasese District adding that the operation is still ongoing. The point of attack is near the Uganda-Congo border, about 360 Kilometers from Uganda\u2019s Capital City, Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UPDF launched the manhunt on October 17th<\/sup>\u00a0after the heinous attack on the two tourists and their driver\/guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAn intelligence-led operation saw a number of them perish under the combined fire of UPDF marines, Special Forces, 222, 301 Brigade Infantry squads in a well-coordinated night operation,\u201d Akiiki added .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
