Former Vice President and Speaker of Parliament Edward Ssekandi has lost his son Alex Kayanja Ssekandi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Kayanja passedon at Lubaga hospital . \u201cI regret to announce the sudden passing of my son, Alex Kayanja Ssekandi. Alex passed away yesterday at Lubaga Hospital, where he had been receiving medical care for the past two weeks. This is an incredibly challenging time for me and my family. Rest in Peace, my beloved son; I can\u2019t believe you are no longer with us,\u201d Edward Ssekandi stated on his official twitter handle .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Anita Among, the Speaker of Parliament, extended her condolences to Mr. Ssekandi\u2019s family, stating, \u201cI offer my heartfelt sympathies, on behalf of the Parliament of Uganda, to the family of our respected elder and leader, the former Speaker of Parliament and former Vice President, H.E. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi, on the loss of his son, Alex Kayanja Ssekandi.
